I'd say it's more like opening up MS Word with VBA, providing a set of code modules you can use immediately and a set of technical documents on how to get the most out of your newfound direct access to the core application. We're tearing off the hood and exposing the engine for direct manipulation, allowing you to move much more quickly and stay on top of industry trends. While it's not true open source, I'm sure we can all agree that it's a step in the right direction. We all look forward to your contributions to the developer community!
